The Shingletown Medical Center (SMC) would like to introduce its Board Member, John Swanson. The SMC Board of Directors currently consists of nine (9) members. Officers of the Board are Lorene Jefferson, Board Chair, Mary Williamson, Vice Chair, Tami Diab, Treasurer, and Ed Garcia III, Secretary. Members are Philip Graham, Linda Krueger, John Swanson, Cynthia Whitt and Nanette Zimmerman.
John Swanson came to Shingletown over 11 years ago, and his extensive background brings a wealth of experience to SMC. John holds a DrPH – Doctors Degree in Public Health and a M.P.H – a Master’s degree in Public Health. Before coming to Shingletown he did Corporate and Community Health Education programs with a Cancer Surgeon in Detroit, Michigan.
Shingletown Medical Center has been fortunate to have John on their Board of Directors for 8 years. He is involved with the medical center to assist with operational functions, and works to bring his public health expertise to assist with board decisions.
John’s hobbies include golf, bicycling, electrical work and walking through the forest scenes in Shingletown and other mountain communities. He is involved with “Helping Hands Ministry” and is also on the board at the Red Bluff Seventh-day Adventist Church.
