On May 16th, SMC was recognized with a Certificate of Achievement from the Public Health Advisory Board for compassionately serving the medical needs of the residents of the Shingletown area.

The Shasta County PHAB uses this annual event to recognize and congratulate community members who have gone the extra mile to promote public health. Public Health can be thought of as “organized community efforts that prevent disease and promote health.” This is an excellent opportunity to acknowledge public health heroes of Shasta County.

“We are honored to be among the 30 outstanding Shasta County organizations recognized by PHAB, and will continue to strive to go the extra mile for our community and the surrounding area,” stated Tami Fraser, CEO Shingletown Medical Center.
