A huge thank you to all the volunteers and bag stuffers that helped make this such a fun and successful 19th annual Think Pink Day celebration on October 15th. This year Shingletown expanded the bag & carnation handout locations by adding the Black Butte Market parking lot. Adding this location was a complete success thanks to the high energy and exuberance from Mary Chambers and Christy Svedeen. As in past years, we also handed out bags & flowers in the parking lot of Pioneer Hillside Pizza and AG & Company. A big thank you to our volunteers Laura Miller, Kelly Bullan, Cheryl Hull, Karyn Lamb, Lyn Smith, Janet Thomas and our Cal Firemen that handed out the materials with such liveliness and high spirits.
We would like to personally thank Trixie, owner of Pioneer Hillside Pizza for opening up her location at 6:00 a.m., so our volunteers could have a hot cup of coffee. Also, thank you to Candice, owner of Celebrations Party Goods for all the beautiful assortment of pink balloons and to Cheryl Hull and Irene Castro for their continued support with the gorgeous pink carnations for our community.
This was a great community event and we hope you can join us October 15, 2016 for the 20th annual NorCal Think Pink day celebration to help raise awareness about breast cancer.
