Harvest Wine Tasting Fund Raiser
The Shingletown Medical Center hosted their 4th annual Harvest Wine Tasting Fund Raiser on Saturday, October 10, from 2 to 6pm. Nick and Holly Zydcryn, owners of Upcountry Gardens, donated the picture perfect venue for more than 130 guests to enjoy the tasting of a variety of tempting wines and delicious hor d’ oeuvres.

Featured wines carried local labels like Ringtail, Indian Peak, Mt. Tehama, Alpen Cellars, Lassen Peak, Silverado and DeRose. Spirits were accompanied by delectable delights prepared by Trader Joe’s chef Fred de Piciotto, GAIA Restaurant/Wildflour Bakery, Hillman Farms, Conley & Cleveland Catering, the Sausage Factory and Palamino’s Passions.

Guests lined up in order to bid on more than 60 items representing a most eclectic silent auction, and those fortunate enough to not be outbid in the live auction, walked away with their individual treasures. Raffle tickets were picked throughout the day and prizes, including wines donated by our local wineries, were awarded to holders of the lucky ticket numbers drawn.

The staff and board of Shingletown Medical Center would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all who made such extraordinary efforts in organizing this event, allowing SMC to raise more than $7,500 for our 2009 Annual Fund.
