Immunizations aren’t just for Children!

It is hard to believe but the new school year is about to begin. Time once again to review what immunizations will protect you, your children and those around you.  Below are the CDC (Center for Disease Control) recommended immunizations for each age group.

2018 Recommended Immunizations for Children from Birth Through 6 Years Old

At birth, HepBAt 2 months of age, HepB, DTaP, PCV, Hib, Polio, and RVAt 4 months of age, DTaP, PCV, Hib, Polio, and RVAt 6 months of age, HepB (6-18 months), DTaP, PCV, Hib, Polio (6-18 months), RVFlu shot annually after 6 months of age.

2018 Recommended Immunizations for Children Ages 7 - 18 Years

Every year a flu shot is recommended at 11 – 12  years of age, TDaP, HPV, Meningococcal

2018 Recommended Immunizations for Adults

Every year a flu shot is recommended, one Tdap and then a Td booster every 10 years, Shingles-Zoster after age 50, Pneumonia 1 – 2 vaccines one time, Meningitis 1 vaccine depending on your health conditions. Hep A, Hep B, and Hep C series one time. You should get any vaccine you didn’t receive as a child such as MMR, HPV (if you’re in your 20’s), and Chickenpox.
